    Hello everyone this is Leland from Houston. I just returned from the
 qualifier with Bryan Hubble. I went there to play the tourney for fun i didnt
 think i had a chance at qualifying but I'll try iI told myself. Well first off
 there is like 47 people there and about 10 good players out of that, so I
 figure I'll make top 16. So we got our cards and i got a great starter and
 descent visions but i knew i wouldnt get that back so heres what i got ...

          here's what i didnt use 1 tremor, 1 sandstalker,1 solfatara,1
 shatter, 1 cave people, 1 conquer, 1 mons goblins,1 giant strength. Here's the
 rest 1 warriors honor1 hope charm, 1 parapet, 1 longbow, 1 knight of valor, 1
 pearled unicorn, 1 cop artifacts, 1 blesses wine, 1 benalish hero, 1 mesa
 pegusas, 1 wrath of god!!!,1 king cheetah, 1 spiderclimb, 1em. carm, 1 mortal
 wound, 1 quirion ranger, 1 chub toad, 1gypsies, 1 crumble, 1 sprite, 1
 dervish, 1 llanowar elf, 1 ghazban, 1 living lands, 1 breathstealers crap, 1
 simoon, 1 ebon stronghold 1 urza mine and 1 tower.So there is the cards some
 said play white but the creature are too small and i liked the other better. i
 didnt keep my match sheet but 1 swept the field being the only undefeated
 there Bryan and a guy named ben bleiweiss i believe drew undefeated. so top
 eight we draft all 5th. I pick tim first then spell blast then flood so i knew
 the guy to the right wasnt playing blue anyway i get 2 counterspell,  2 remove
 soul, spell blast, force spike,  unsummon, azure drake, recall, guantlets of
 chaos, sea serpent, dark maze, tim, 2 beatdown reef pirates, krovikan
 sorcerer, aether storm, 2 soul barrier ,dan dan, portent, gaseous form,and
 merfolk of the pearl trident.also i got 2 giant growth ,giant spider whirling
 dervish,wall of brambles and  thicket i used in the sideboard. Anyways I won
 the first match against a mostly red deck .my opponent said the deck was a
 degenerate deck because  i decked him for th win twice but he got one game,
 its all about flood!!!! next match i swept thanks to the REEF PIRATES!!! and
 flood. the finals  im a bit nervous but i play it kool and try to enjoy it. i
 lose the first game, uh-oh in comes green for the beatdown.I win barely on to
 the final game. second turn remove soul 3rd turn counterspell 4th turn remove
 soul 5th turn flood i pretty much control the entire game. i go on to win my
 1st PTQ. thanks to Bryan for the ride. oh almost forgot Ben and Bryan got
 knocked out the first round by a judge yeah thats right some stupid neck from
 La. misruled and was HELPING their opponents , what the fuck? anyways sorry
 that happened guys, good luck to Bryan i hope he wins at lubbock next week to
 join me and Adrian in Germany. this is my first report so excuse the errors
 :-)
