This is my weekly type 2 deck update. Basically I will inform you every week on what IronPeterDotDec is and how it did in my local tournies on Saturday and Sunday. On some occasions you will get a report from a PTQ, or HELL, if I ever qualify again I will give you a PT report :D Anyway, I will explain a little about myself and then be on my way to Week #1. My name is "Iron" Peter Ripley Jr. I am from Beltsville MD and have been a planeswalker for 5 years. Being a planeswalker in MD is real neat because I get to hang out with Matt "Bently, Gary" Linde and Brock "I hate people" Parker. There is also Phil "I lead a normal life" Harding, Adam "AdamD" Dale and Brandon "Spanky" McKay. I am a used to be a PT player but that ended about 3 months ago when I came in 41st at US Nationals. I tell myself I am still a good player but I really suck, I mean, I have never missed a 2nd day at a PT...BUT...I have only been to 3 and never done better than 2 wins on the second day. I am sorta beginning to relize more and more that I suck, but for now, I will call myself a PT Vet. I will now get on to the Weekly Update! This weekend I opt to play a deck I call Spoutidian, it was my own creation and a very good deck. I have won 4 local tournies with it now but U(Urza's)S(Saga) will be entering type 2 on Nov.1, so we will be looking on this update as, "The Farewell to MrViLight." We will all miss you very much MrViLight. You have brought so many good memories to us, lets take a look. We will do this in Top 5 Fasion! Weekly Top 5! 1. You brought us our most exiting PT winner to date, Michael O. Long. 2. You brought the 1997-98 PT Rookie of the Year on to the PT, Randy "Mise well do anything to win, Am I right?" Buehler. 3. You qualified "Iron" Peter Ripley for the NY Junior PT '97. 4. You brought us that little snake in the grass, Ophidian! 5. You gave us the exiting Turbo Abayence deck that made a Big Splash in the type 2 scene at the 1997 US Nationals. WOW! Thanks alot MrViLight, we really appreciate all that you have done for the Magical Cards. I will be noting all the MrViLight card in my deck. I head to Bowie all set to win but I don't. It is 4 rounds with a Single Elim. Top 8. I start off with a draw against Living Death. I then beat the crap out of Stompy. Next I beat another Stompy. I now need to draw to get in at 8th place but my 3-0 opponent Ron doesn't want to because he doesn't want to have to play me in the top 8. So he beats me with Oath of the Druids and I end up 9th at 2-1-1. :( We head back to my place for some sleep and that we get. We are now off to White Marsh mall for Another Universe's Sunday Morning Type 2. I am all set with the same deck. I play against Stompy first round and win. I play against WW next round and control the game. I am now 2-0 and draw the last round to make the top 16 at 2-0-1. I play Stompy first round and win. I am now in the top 8. I play my good friend Mike Wolfensberger with Living Death and he gets mana screwed 2 straight and I win easily but I feel bad. I am now in the final 4. I play 5 color WW and win 2-1. My opponent concedes to me in the finals because I he is my friend and knows I would kick his ass anyway. So anyway, I get $50 and am happy. The deck performed very well and I hope to have another great update for you next week. Farewell to you MrViLight, you will be missed! Now for praps, slaps, and lingo!
