This was his first Qualifier top 8. Eric Judd is another Phoenix-area regular. This was also his first Qualifier top 8. Jeremy Brower is a Tucson, AZ regular. He was the finalist at the 1998 Southwest Regional Championships, and he competed at the 1997 PT New York. Riad Mourssali has competed in numerous PT's, including 1998 Chicago, 1998 Los Angeles, and 1997 Chicago. He has won three previous Qualifiers and made the top 8 at several others. Matt Mortensen is a former top 25 ranked Classic player and Phoenix regular. This is his third Qualifier top 8, though he has yet to qualify. Ray Powers is a Level II judge and reowned as being one of Phoenix's most innovative deckbuilders. This is his first Qualifier top 8. Greg Dube is a Los Angeles regular. He has previously competed at the 1998 PT New York (76th), PT Mainz (96th), and the 1998 PT Los Angeles (50th). He has won four previous Qualifiers, and has placed in the top 8 over a dozen times. Greg is also the 1997-1998 Aztlan Player of the Year. Jacob Stirler is another Tuscon native. He has previously competed at the 1997 PT New York and was qualifier for PT Paris.
