There was a sanctioned L5R tourney there and i wanted to see if they still had it going. Well i got there 6:30pm and mike asked me and my bro if we wanted to play for a box split of exodus- 6 bucks entry fee each. ...i was pretty surprised when he said there having a tourney there--he said it was a last minute thing --U KNow me-- it's what he said. Got the money and tried my luck My bro went for white wennie( he might submit a tourney report later ) and it was either peaches or 5cu I went for 5cu---pretty close to Donais Here's the deck: Blue 4 counterspell 4 disipate 4 dismiss 3 impulse 4 whispers of the muse White 3 gerrard's wisdom 4 wrath of god 1 disenchant Green 1 uktabi orangutan 4 wall o blossom 3 Gaea's Blessing Artifacts 1 null rod- kick ass card..i should a used 2 straight in the deck my friend used 3 in his main deck Land 4 reflecting pool 2 undescovered 6 island 1 wasteland 1 quicksand 2 plains 1 thalokist lowlands 2 city o brass 1 adakar wastes 1 gemstone mine 1 brushland The board 4 hydroblast 4 pyroblast 1 lobotomy 2 cursed totem 1 null rod 2 abbeyence 1 impulse it could've been a better sideboard ..i had only a little over 5 mins to construct everything( i had the deck memorized..i liked it when i played first time before) i played first round without sleeves then sleeved for the next rounds 1st round black blue control. game1: screwed no green...not enough land..he lobotomy me.. i counter..he counters my counter..i dont got enough mana....i cry...that was game game2: land screwed..lost Record:0-1 ..and feeling regretful for not playing peaches 2nd round vinyard..cursed scroll ..other stuff. game:1 get null rod out..he cant deal enough damage with bottlenomes.i get control gyser him at the end of his turn then ...recur them with blessings and draw another from a 5-8 card deck game2: added another null rod..get them out..he quits....i win 3rd round JON's DECK...black blue(weird deck)..what's his name played it..(forgot) Game1: daring aprentices..god damn these bitches....cant do shit bout them..barely anyone uses interdict..i establish control..gyser for 10 at the end of his turn ..then 10 on my turn Game2: basicly the same thing..i used cursed totem to stop them trade winds and aprentices and pyroblasts..he doesnt expect the pblasts...funny..i win 4th round black discard deck game1: a first turn bottomless pit and dies slowly cuz i got null rod out and i laugh at his cursed scrolls..i die though game2: he does the same damn thing..i had disenchant..but no white mana..i manage to keep the dis in my hand..draw a adakar..disenchant...gerrad a few times he cant do shit...he loses game3: no first turn bottom less this time...i get control again..i win..thank u gerrards Final 4 me and my bro made it Finally..i get to play sleight Game1: get rocked..too much damaged couldnt get 4 mana to gerrards...yup ...mana screwed again.. Game2: I gerrard like 5 times that game and i stayed at 20....too much life..not enough direct damage..i win with gyser again...10 at the end 10 on my turn Game3: Same thing.....I fucking love gerrard's wisdom..i flashed 3 hydro blast 1counterspell and a disipate..he cries and quits...... I made to battle for 1st..turns out i had to play my bro for 1st place bro..younger bro....12 yrs old ........winner was undetermind since we shared all the cards..(they're all mine..basicly) i was hungry .jumped in matt's car and off to mcdonalds at 11 o clock we got 33 packs..the 3rd place got 3 packs..we went home happy..o yeah...we determind the winner with a coin flip.......he called heads....it was heads...he got first i got 2nd..... Honorable pasage: Seems like the store i go to dont get enough people there......i dont even think they broke even for that box of exodus.......so ..here's a some free plublisity for odessy..come down.to fairfield...it's fun......we need the people..seems like everyone is getting out of magic....
