   The short story:  the single elim-final round went to seeding.

   Jeremy Leach(1) def. Toby Sterling(8) 2-1
   Lenny Collins(2) def. Ben Seck(7) 2-1
   Paul Merry(3) def. Stuart Spencer(6) 2-0
   Paul Morrison(4) def. Jonathan Bray(5) 2-0

   Most people seemed to appreciate the longer (70-minute) rounds, but even
   then we had a lot of 1-0 results - not to mention the 100-minute 0-0!.
   Managed to turn a lot of 1-1's at 60-minutes into results after 70, which
   is the key thing (no good if 1-1's just stay at 1-1's, for example).
   Death versus Death is slow :-/

   Top 4 decks written up below; one-line descriptions of 5th-8th also
   given.  Lots of Survival, assortment of B/W/R-weenie.  One kid in his
   first tournament registered a 40-card deck (pretty much all the cards he
   owned), but no one called him on it so I didn't either :-)  Other
   highlights included the two Grindstone decks (Stu Gillard's, and
   mine-with-additions-played-by-James) coming up across another newcomer's
   148-card 3-colour stack.  James eked a win out with Mindless Automaton
   beatdown, but Stu actually decked the guy....twice :-)

   All entry costs redistributed as prizes, giving $100 to each of the top-4
   and the extra $12 scattered to the winds to anyone who asked :-)
