This is the 2nd Rome PTQ in Seattle on 9/12 at the WotC Gamecenter. I couldnt make it to the first one so I decided to play in the 2nd. I get there at 9:30 right when they open. I go in and fill out my deck list. I fill it out with Hatred (hate red), and a TradeAwake. So when the tourney starts I pick the TradeAwake deck over Hatred for some reasons. So heres the Decklist: 4 tradewind rider 4 wall of AWESOME 4 spike feeders 2 spike weaver 4 Counterspell 4 forbid 3 whisper of the muse 4 capsize 3 awakenings 4 legacy allures 4 pools 3 skyshrourd 7 forest 10 island sideboard is erealavant ( i spelt that wrong ) so on to the tourney Round 1 Geoff ??? Red/White trash game 1 He starts off with a creature me land go. him 2 more creatures me land go. so he stops casting creatures and I build up to 4 land drop awakening and its over cuz he has no disenchant/allay. game 2 see game 1 games 2-0 match 1-0 Round 2 Tom Shear (i think he is on Team Thunder) Living Death :) Game 1 He starts off with a hermit druid and me some land he gets it going and cast death, counter. then he gets active tradewind for me :( and has a Cqueen thats grabs a Vforce, while i have 8 land and a couple walls so then he says go and i drop 2 awakenings forcing the queen to untap and remove the Vforce from the game :) then i also get him to remove a cloudE from the game too. Thats Game. Game 2 I get 4th turn lock land go land legacy go land go land awakening I win Games 4-0 match 2-0 Round 3 Larry Chatfield White/Black something Game 1 I cant remember but I won Game 2 I cant remember but I lost Game 3 I cant remember but I won Games 5-1 Match 3-0 Yeah 3-0 in a constructed PTQ :) Round 4 Dylan Bogert TradeAwake Game 1 He out draws me Game 2 He out draws me again :( Games 5-3 Match 3-1 Round 5 Jeff Fung w/ Scoop (damn bird) Living death :( Game 1 Im an idiot i tap out for TRW and he cast Death Game 2 He forgets to draw non-land, I lock him Game 3 I tap out for TWR (he has no threats) he goes lobotomy for capsize I lose Games 6-5 Match 3-2 I knew this would happen no surprise so i go into the last round as 8th so if i win im in round 6 Zopa WW game 1 him land diamond creature go me Skyforest go him wasteland creature attack go me pool wall go him creature attack go me island go him wasteland kill pool/skyforest attack go damn 1 island me forest go him attack go me pool go him attack go me island awakening go during upk cap shadow dood no BB him attack go me during upk cap with BB i win Game 2 I forgot to draw land :( Game 3 :( See game 2 Just kidding see game 1 :) I win and make top 8 as 8th Fung vs Me Holcomb vs random ------------------ bogert vs random random vs Dan ??? round 7 fung again w/ scoop but i have Quisp (visit Quisp.com or read about on Mindripper) Game 1 he fugues me (3xmulli) Game 2 I get a 4th turn lock lucky me Game 3 I fugue him (see above) I mulli once he doesis playing draw go. i go land he goes I draw then says go (no land) I procede to lock him down in quick fashion Holcomb vs Me -------------- Bogert vs Dan??? Round 8 Ty Holcomb Living death pretty much like round 7 but no mullis and I win with the topdeck of a counterspell Dan ??? vs Me Round 9 Dan ??? WW w/ Curio/TWR.doh Game 1 I forget to draw non land spells :( Game 2 he locks me down, I have no blue I dont want to complain but get this dans deck goes down to LivDeth and he goes through 8 rounds with a field dominated by LD and play ZERO Living Deaths o well Wells thats how the tourney went I made finals and got $40 and free entry to another PTQ Next Time maybe ill try LD Well time for props and slops: Props Me for making the finals :) Alex Mitchell for telling me to play TradeAwake Jeff Fung for having scoop and letting me borrow it in the finals :) My opponents for being kewl except for Zopa WotC Slops To zopa for being mean Those Canadains for saying that i would lose to fung in the quarters exspecially Pete Radonjic for making fun of my play mat :( WotC for only giving 1 invite Thats it for slops/props so maybe ill cya someone in chicago.
