Subject: T2 Pure Sligh

        Usually I write my reports on Sunday's 2 tiny T2 
tourneys but I did terrible at those this week. So I went 
to Game Parlor on Monday for their T2 Sanctioned with a $50 
store credit prize. Some notable attendees: Donald Gallitz 
and Andrew Cuneo. If you didn't know, Game Parlor is in 
Chantilly, VA and Mike Long used to go there I think.

        My TurboMulch deck was losing left and right and 
I had nothing else constructed so I went with the evil 
beast: Sligh. I felt bad at first but after whooping my 
friend Jamie Buresh (he is PERFECT at MTG, never makes 
mistakes) a couple of times with it against his CounterHammer 
deck, I felt better. Here is what I ended up playing:

4 Ironclaw Orcs (These guys sucked with Flunkies... Replaced them afterward with 'Slingers)

Match 1 vs. Mohammed (sp?) Nazir playing CapFlare

        I had read his CapFlare report on here and seen 
it in action at Another Universe so I had a somewhat good 
feeling going into this match. I had my doubts though.

        Game 1: Balls flunk out of high school. I'll 
let you figure that one out.

        Game 2: I side in Anhks, screws me over. He 
gets 3 Mana Flares out and Capsizes almost all my land. 
Guess what I draw? More land! He torches me for 20.

        Game 3: Balls go to remedial school and flunk out there.

1-0 2-1

Match 2 vs. Some Guy playing ?

        I had never gone here before so I had never seen 
anything from this guy. I didn't see anything in the game 
either. I think it was a Intruder Alarm timmie deck but I 
just romped on him.

2-0 4-1

Match 3 vs. Don Gallitz (goddamn it!) playing El Nino

        My friend the master deckbuilder Ken Russell had 
told me about this deck on TNC Universe. Kinda scared me. 
U/G control orb. It's other name is the Living Prison.

Game 1: Suprisingly, I win the first because he can't put 
down his elves or birds because of my Fanatics plus the 
hand full o' burn.

Games 2&3: His sideboard hurt me a lot because the only 
thing I really wanted to sideboard in was my Blasts but 
taking anything out would decrease burn-ness and I needed 
to win fast. I got Passaged, and he screwed me with his 
secret Tech against Sligh. Oh yeah, he geddoned a lot 
this time which my version of Sligh doesn't like. I lose. 
I told him what my DCI Ranking was afterwards which kinda 
scared him. (It's 1480 if you must know)

Match 4 vs. Some Guy playing Stompy

I refuse to write anything about green. I lost to it though.

Final record: 2-2 5-5

So I broke even for the day, which I'm sure will still 
improve my rating because one of my losses was to Don 
Gallitz.
