If ya dont play on Friday night or Saturdays you are out of luck. Any store owners interested in running a Sanctioned Type 2 or type 1 tourney during the week please email me if you are in Me NH or Ma. Well onto the tournament report. The deck I ran for the tourney was the basic Cursed burn Deck ya see posted all over the place with a few experimental cards from stonghold. I will just discuss the experimental cards. 4 shocks It was very good replaced the 4 Kindles. 2 Mogg Flunkies Thanks goodness I only played with 2 these things sucked up spaceand if I had no creatures which tends to happen in this suicidal creature deck they become useless back go the 2 conscripts. 1 Seething anger Looked good on paper was good in sealed but you rarely buy it back and if you do they just kill the creature so its a waste of mana. Back goes the Giant strength. Location was Amesbury comics in Amesbury Mass. Appoximately 25 to 30 people didnt get the exact number. An interesting concept has been working here for Ray the owner he takes the younger kids and puts them in a unsanctioned tournament and lets them play for a prize and then takes the older guys and puts them in a sanctioned tournament for a prize its good because the younger kids know that they have a shot of winning the tourney if they are playing kids of there realative skill level and if one kid starts to dominate then he gets to graduate to the big boys sanctioned tourney. 3rds rounds of swiss top 4 go to ta playoff 1st round against Lou Springer GWR Staunchei Gnomes Scrags Game 1 Get off to a Lighting fast start I think get him down to 10 before he Wraths and I toss the 2 mogg Fanatics at him to bring him down to 8 I am holding a Fireblast and a Kindle in my hand and draw a land..Staunch defender hits the talbe and before ai know it I am outa Kill range and get beat down. Game 2 I draw a Mogg Flunkie as my only creature and Lou is bit mana screwed I just still around staring at my flunkie saying I will never play this guy again he gets up to 4 mana and Gerrards Wisdoms 4 staunch Defenders later and a scrag and Bottle Gnome he is at 42 life and I am cursed scrolling to stay alive throwing creatures in front of the staunchies Finally Kill the last staunchie at 2 life and get lightingblasted to death... Dam just did not get a good draw at all.. Round 2 Kid Red Burn Game one I would have normally shitted to play against this type of Red deck because it just keeps tosing direct damage and bigger fireballs at your head till you are dead but the cursed burn deck is too well built. I burn him out. Game two Burn baby burn.. Round 3 Nate BlueOrb mist propaganda Game 1 I have played Nate before and I guess he has been winning alot at Rays lately saying that he has won the last 8 in a row and never loses to RED decks. I get out a Pup with a Gaint str early and Nate has to double quicksand it the Worb lock starts coming down on me I hit him with everthing I got but wait for the right time to put down a scalding tongues... He gets the lock down on me I think he is at like 5 or 6 life but I see his life total start to tick down because of the Scalding tongues I however am in a small bind trying to keep under 4 cards I barely do and win... Game 2 I catch a early chill trying to hit the table with a pyroblast and manage to bust in on him. Top 4 I think this is the order 1 Lou with Stanchie 2 Missed name and deck 3 Nate 4 Me Round 4 Lou Stanchie Game 1 I will be Honest I didnt like this matchup but I was really dissapointed in the decks perfomance first round I have playtested alot against staunchie with Jim Allen and usually I roll over it unless I get wierd draws... I beleive this game went Like turn 2 wild cat turn 3 ball lightining and a couple fireblast later you know the story Burn gets the draw. Game 2 Lou mana stalls and this is the cheap win that burn will give you if your oppenent mana stalls.... Round 5 Finals Nate... Game 1 Dont remeber much about this one think I just burned into him.. Game 2 Double Mulligan a natural mulligan both times! We are playing Paris so I get to play with 5 cards...and draw 3 lands and 2 spells not good I only need 2 lands to run the whole deck. I get locked up and killed by a Firewalker and a Steel Golem how degrading. Game 3 I go with first turn conscript he goes undiscoverd paradise...He is Mana screwed I go Pup Pup attack for 2 he goes undiscovered Paradise again chill...and all lands to hand..I just apply the beat down from then on... So I return to type 2 after 4 months with a win and I win a Mox Diamond in one of the packs not bad. HOFFY
