His deck was pretty good, imploying Propaganda, Tradewinds, Capsize, Medallions, and Counters to maintain control, while using some creatures for the kill. All of the games I managed to get him to or below 6 life, and then stalled out. The one game I won was only because of his getting mana screwed. I will save though, his deck made me wish for Choking Sands, just about every other land was none basic. Round Two vs. Mark Deboard (Sligh) Record 2-1 Well the first two games, Mark just plain got mana screwed to hell and back, the second game he only drew one land. The third game he came back and stomped me with a vengeance. Note: Scalding Tongs and Cursed Scroll is very painful! And the next person who tells me that 4 Drain Lifes are to much, I'm going to introdce them to my burn deck and watch them wish for a couple. Round Three vs. Chris ?????? (Blue Bouncy\Control deck number II) Record 3-0 Once again not much to explain just plain and simple I kill you with a flood of creatures, drain life, and cursed scrolls... The only thing interesting about this deck was the use of 4 Legacy's Allure straight in the deck. One game I actually killed him with the Urborg Stalker from the sideboard, while he had Propaganda's out. Round Four vs. Cash ??????? (4-5CWW) Record 3-0 Seen one incinerate, and one diabolic edict the entire match from his deck. Other than that, the two shadow creatures made his life miserable. This match went very fast. The second game had to be one of the better games of the day for my deck. He goes first and plays an Adakar Waste, I wasteland it. He plays another nonbasic land, I play another wasteland and kill it. He plays an Island, I play a swamp, dark ritual, drop 2 sewer rats and a sarcomancy. Next turn I draw another Ritual, and attack for seven. Quite fun. Round Five vs. Cole ?????? (Stompy) Record 2-0 What can I say? Cursed Scroll and massive creature elimination wins the first game for me. And even more creature removal wins the second game. Cole and I decided not to play the third game. A decision that almost came back to haunt me. Final Record 11-3 Unbeliveably I manage to pull first place from the White Weenie deck and the Blue Bouncy Deck. 1st Place James Baker 11-3 2nd place (tie) Tim Deboard and Ben Valentine 10-5 respectively
