This is my first posting so don't bash me ok. Well anyways I wake up really early in the morning because I live like ummmmm very far from the tourney site. But for one thing when i got off of my bed i broke my earphones and i thought oh oh this is starting to be a baaaad day so far. At about 8 a.m. or so Jason Tomei comes and picks me up. After driving for a bit we decided to stop off at jacks to get something to eat. I wasn't very hungry and I bought myself a large fruit punch. Ummmmm good. Well after that we drove a little more and we went to the tourney site. It was unbelievable. IT WAS PACKED!!! WHERE DID ALL OF THESE PEOPLE COME FROM!!! Well anyways I decided to stand in the long line because I didn't pre-register. Then sooner or later it got to the point where everyone starts to trash talk me from my LCC student buddies. "I'm going to beat you down Warren!!!" was the threats from some people. in my reply I said "You want some of me bring it on." I guess they kinda backed away after that. Well after like an hour or so of waiting in line, it started to move. It was a mad house as they had to bring in more tables and chairs for the amout of people playing. the quote was "Where did all of these people come from?" There were a lot of people that I havn't seen before. Well after getting into the tourney, we had to wait another 30 min for the others to register. Then after that sitting down at our tables to get our new cards handed out to us took another 30 min. I got 3 requests from people to oh Warren come sit by me or come we saved you a seat. I thought wow... there's respect for ya. A decided to sit by the LCC crew. I had borrowed a CD from my friend who was also playing in the tourney... DON'T THINK I'M SICK OR ANYTHING but it was Sailor Moon. I asked to borrow my friend's CD player and I told them just you wait... I'm listening to inspirational music. They all laughed at me. Well you know come to think about it where I sat was SO DAMN NOISY!!! and that when I finally got to construct there was a lot of useless screaming and yelling. i finished just in time of the 30 min and this was my deck. it kinda changed a bit tho Red 2 mogg flunkies mogg bombers wall o diffusion fireslinger mogg fanatic flowstone hellion aftershock BLUE gliding licid spindrift drake thalakos merfolk wind drake rootwater hunter time warp giant beat down crab BLACK dauthi slayer dark banish distrubed burial spinal graft dauthi horror crovax the cursed death stroke evincar's justice LAND 6 island 6 swamp 5 mountain stalking stones Well onto the swiss rounds Round 1: Michael Kaneko (forget what he was playing Well anyways I don't really remember what happened but I can say that I lost the first one badly and I thought oh no I've got bachi already. Well I basically take the next 2 very fast. Well I'm 1-0 and 2-1 games Round 2 Irie, Yasuhiko He is a new player but with a very strong deck. he basically had the same deck as I did but I basically got my goodies first and i outplayed him badly. i can remember getting Giant beat down crab with spinal graft on it and just beat the living you know what out of him. While standing in line to turn in our results he asked me if I was a experienced player. I said yes I am and he told me that this was his first tourney. i think he went 3-2 overall. not bad 2-0 and 4-1 games Round 3 Travis Meeker i've played this guy before in the juniors and it was interesting... for some reason he would always rush me when i was playing and it proved to be his downfall as he made lots of mistakes by playing fast. Well anyways he decided to take a mulligan and he drew one too many cards. I called the judge and he got a warning... hey it's the rules. well anyways it was only time until my superior creatures and spells wiped him up. I won 2 straight again 3-0 games 6-1 Round 4 Jefferson Chang I don't really know aht happened but i can say that I got the shit beat out of me. I think I was 1 black short of casting evincar's justice that would've solved all of my problems but I didn't get it. then there was the late 2nd game where he was beating me down with a 1/1 unblockable red creature... i forget the name but it kinda sucked. Well I was at 2 life and I chickened out and din't attack with giant beat down crab. I had 3 creatures and he had 3 creatures but they were bigger than his were. i should've attacked with crab and he would've taken it. Well anyways he hits me with his 1/1 and brings me down to 1 life. I thought oh crap I forgot to attack and I had gliding licid out. I could've made my giant crab fly and he wouldve killed him because I just drew a mogg fanatic which would've done it. But damn it. I get sweeped =( 3-1 games 6-3 Round 5 Michael Wun Kinda sucks. How come I always play this guy. Well it's sort of becoming a rivalry now. He eliminated me from the L.A. qualifier in the you got it 5th round with fruitty pebbles. So I was thinking REVENGE!!! Well he didn't want to play me and he wanted to take the draw but I decided mahhhh I can beat him. Well the first game goes by fast as I get butt whoopings. the second game was different it was a stalemate but I drew distrubed burial and mogg fanatic... he he he. it was only time until I hit him for one with distrubed burial buyback on a mogg fanatic and he dies. The third game was close too. At the very end I had a giant crab and a gliding licid out. he had shadow force on his side... He was also at 6 life. he also had bull whip too. Well i decided to put my licid on my creature and make him fly. i then put spinal graft on my creature and in a flash used my crab ability and rambled on about it hopefully distracting him. I then went this blue is for your spell and this blue is for your bull whips. I attacked and he died. he he he revenge is mine!!! 4-1 games 8-3 round 5 Dave tejada Remember the guy that was trash talking me at the very beginning well it was this guy and he had never made it to a top 8 before and he had a low opp match percentage. Well he also didn't want to play me and I offered him a intentional draw because I knew that i would make it at 4-1-1 because of my opp. match percentage. Well after some thought, he agreed to the draw and we played a friendly game to see what couldve been the outcome if we did play. Well needless to say I BEAT THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF HIM!!! Well after the results came in I was 7th seed and dave was 8th seed and he was thanking me a lot for drawing with him. 4-1-1 match 8-3-3 TOP 8 Quarters Adam Strong I played this guy during the junior games and he beat me once in sealed deck. but after i got my deck it was kinda weak but with lots of fatties. I basically work him over in 2 straght games as I romped him overall 5-1-1 games 10-3-3 Semifinals Louie A. Well this was a toughy as I tried to convince him to not play me as he was worried about his girlfriend getting pissed off and stuff for him being out so late. Well it didn't work as he wanted to play. I couldn't do anything to him. I play 2/2 spike he plays 4/4 spike. I play an enchantment he plays cloudchaser eagle. I though shit what the hell. Well anyways he then romped the heck outta me and kick me into next week. overall 10-5-3 games 5-2-3 Well it was a good day... too bad i didn't win it all but I was still happy about the outcome.
