Weedwhacker Deck: The Howling Atog

The Howling (but otherwise friendly) Atog Deck: (April 1997 Type 2):
4 Incinerates
4 Atog
=8 Red

3 Pox
1 Kaervak's Spite
1 Vampiric Tutor
4 Paralyze
=9 Black

4 Urza's Bauble
4 Howling Mines
4 Winter Orbs
4 Ankh of Mishra
=16 artifacts

4 Dark Rituals
4 Black Diamonds
3 Fire Diamonds
4 Sulfurous Springs
3 Mountains
7 Swamps
2 Sheltered valley
=27 manas

All of the cards in this deck work together surprisingly well.

First of all the 2 main theme cards are the Atog and the Pox. Both of these cards work very well with lots of artifacts and especially diamonds. This deck has 23 Artifacts, all of which add directly to the theme.

The Winter orbs, howling mines, ankh of mishra work great together because the opponent can't cast all the spells he draws unless he plays lands and untaps lands. Both of which are difficult. Paralyze works great with these also because of the mana denial involved. Slowing down a fast deck and shutting down that Maro after a geddon can be very important. Sheltered Valley works great with pox, ankh of mishra, and diamonds. Diamonds work great with winter orb, ankh of mishra and atog.

As you can see every card works very well together. Not only that it can be really fun to play an Atog deck once in a while.
As Always, comments on how to improve this deck are welcome.
