Weedwhacker Deck: 1001 Arabian Nights
When I first saw the Arabian Nights Mountain, I thought it was the coolest
thing since sliced bread. The fact that Arabian Nights had a basic land
in the expansion by accident was just wacky. Originally they had planned
to have all five basic lands in the set, but changed their mind, and
pulled out all the basic land except this poor mountain which was
accidently forgotten. I thought to myself that it would be really cool to
make a deck composed of entirely Arabian Nights cards, using the Arabian
Mountain as the main mana source. I designed the deck, then tracked down
all the cards for it, slowly managing to acquire all the Mountains that
were needed to build the deck. Originally, the deck had a half dozen City
of Brass (also hard to find in original Arabian versions), but they did so
much damage to me, and were very inconsistent (had some Erhnams, some War
Elephants, and a couple Unstable Mutations as the other colours), so I
dropped them, and went mono-red and artifact. Just for fun, I added City
in a Bottle, for the effect of destroying all my permanents and crippling
the deck (if you are beating your opponent, you can cast the City in a
Bottle, and say "Shit, I guess I lose". That way he won't feel bad losing
to an all Arabians deck). I actually found out how well Ruhk Eggs went
with the City in a Bottle (they were buried, and produced 4/4 flying Ruhk
tokens, which actually won the game for me many times), so I got some more
Ruhk Eggs, and made it a major theme in the deck. Below is a current

1 Ali from Cairo (kind weak, but mandatory in the deck)
