Subject: The New Jooky! Date: Wed, 24 Dec 1997 20:34:19 PST From: "Aaron Souders" To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com ***Another Chilling Report from the Service Master*** Well, kids. It's Christmas Eve, and Santa Shazam's Christmas gift to you is the well awaited Tempest Type II Legal Jooky! Deck. (Applause entered here) Now, some notes out there, since the last true Jooky! posting. A lot of you have been e-mailing me with your versions, and how you have won tournaments with this thing. Personally, that frightens the hell out of me that people are winning with this deck, because it is a pure fun deck, so I figure I had to step up and give the fun version for your pleasure and enjoyment. For those of you that have forgotten, the Jooky! deck is a Type II legal deck that can provide a VERY large Karavek's torch (10,000+) on the fifth turn without an infinate engine. Let me repeat that last part... withOUT an infinate engine! So many people have added Gaea's Blessings, but that takes the fun out of it! To be honest, it probably does make the deck better, but then again, it wouldn't be Jooky! Here, without further ado, is the highly screwed up version of Jooky II, The Revenge of Karavek. 9 X Island 9 X Forest 6 X Mountain 4 X Mana Flare 2 X Karavek's Torch 1 X Final Fortune 4 X Prosperity 4 X Impulse 3 X Mystical Tutor 2 X Intuition 1 X Meditate (The ruthless Meditate/Final Fortune Combo!) 4 X Early Harvest 4 X Summer Bloom 2 X City of Solitude 1 X Gaea's Blessing (that's right, ONE!) 4 X Feldon's Cane Sideboard: 4 X Pyroblast 4 X Hydroblast 2 X City of Solitude 3 X Mana Web 2 X Savage Twister Simple Sideboarding, the Pyro, City, and Web against counters, the hydros vs. burn, and the twisters vs. stuff like WW and Stompy. For a true explination of this sillyness, consult the Dojo archives and chuckle at the madness. The 4 Feldon's Canes replace the Diminishing Returns and the Soldevi Digger, but not perfectly, as there really is no replacement for those cards. Recurse the Harvest's one more time with the single Gaea's (we can't have two, that would be infinate), and Cane until no more mana is even possible, and ba-BANG! Note the new e-mail address, as the Service Master has completed his tour of duty at Eureka College, and will soon be gracing the prescence of all the fine folks at Elmhurst College. True devoted fans of the Jook are always invited to e-mail their happiness and tourney reports to thee. Have fun, and most importantly, have a party in a can. ;-) Aaron "Shazam!" Souders -Atlanta Pro Tour Juniors Champion -DCI Certified Level III Judge -Certifiable Master of Ser-VICE! "Follow your dreams. You can achieve your goals. I'm living proof. Beefcake. BEEFCAKE!!!" -Eric Cartman- p.s. coming soon, the Lost Highway's adventures in the PTQs, and the revision of the Kenny Deck, a deck that has gone 17-0 for me in tourney settings so far. :-) ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
