Subject: Recycler Date: Thu, 18 Dec 1997 13:21:24 -0700 From: "Geoff Fontaine" To: I am surprised I haven't seen a design based around Recycle on its own. This is a terribly boring deck to play, but shows those who don't believe Recycle is a powerful card how wrong they are. Mind you, this deck could still use a little tweaking. Works by getting the Recycle out by turn 4, if you're against blue, the City of Solitude out earlier. Continue your turn until you are able to finish the game. Any questions? the engine... 3 Recycle 4 Summer Bloom (play a land, draw, x 3) 4 Gaea's Blessing (i'm not running out of cards!) mana support... 4 Birds of Paradise 3 Fyndhorn Elders 4 Lotus Petal draw! 3 Meditate (draw 5, who needs another turn?) or 3 Infernal Contract (earlier rendition, risky, but not so bad with City out) other keys... 2 Fervor (use mana creatures, you'll need to) 3 or 4 Vitalize 2 Early Harvest 3 or 4 City of Solitude (not side boarded, nothing can break-up the engine once you get it going) Kill cards, have used in different mixes... Forbidden Ritual or Kaervek's Torch or Overrun Land = 24ish Forest (through in a couple skyshroud forests if you feel the need, the petals and bop's give whatever little colourful mana you might need though, for the black version, i used Dark Rituals in there somewhere, not as great though with Meditate at one's disposal). Just a different idea, thanks to MacLav for the Summer's Bloom! Soalo
