Subject: Type 2 Unglued deck called " The Shaft " Date: Wed, 16 Sep 1998 22:16:58 -0400 From: "Greg Anderson" To: Subject: Type II Unglued Deck Date: Wednesday, September 16th, 1998 ; 9:45 P.M. EDT From: Dan Anderson; wtgalahad@forcomm.net To: Frank Kusumoto; fkusumot@ix.netcom.com After returning from my unsuccessful day at the Pro Tour-Rome qualifier here in Pittsburgh, I aquired some unglued cards and returned to my house. After playing some very good players and some very rude players, I wasn't in the best of moods. In this frame of mind, I sat down and designed the following deck. I would like to warn anyone demented enough to build it that you may want to run out of the house or card shop in which you play it. Some players will not like what happens to them if your deck works. Although anyone watching or sometimes even your unfortunate opponent will laugh their ass off... The idea is to simply find the Mirror, Mirror using the ridiculous amounts of card drawing in this deck and give your opponent your deck after you have played three of your creatures; paper tigers, scissors lizards, and rock lobsters. Since these creatures out all at the same time do you about as good as a one-wheeled car, your opponent won't be able to do much. There is no direct, damage, creature removal, counterspells, enchantment defense, or anything that the sane deck builder would include. This makes it all the easier to crush your opponent after you give him this deck, because his deck can't suck anymore than what you are forcing upon him. You'll watch him use all the card drawing engines in the deck to frivilously search for something to help him out, but you know all he's going to find are more useless creatures and card drawing sources which he'll continue to use. Knowing he can't remove any of his creatures, simply find any creatures or direct damage and put him out of his misery. Without any further delays, I present " The Shaft " : 4 impluses 4 dream caches 2 ancestral knowledge 2 whispers of the muse 1 meditate 3 vampiric tutors 2 necrologias 1 infernal tribute 1 infernal contract 1 dark ritual 4 rock lobsters 4 scissors lizards 4 paper tigers 2 howling mines 1 scroll rack 1 spatula of the ages 1 mirror, mirror 12 swamps 10 islands Just watch out for cards like Look at me, i'm the dci and null chambers as they will screw you and keep in mind that this is a fun deck and probably won't win you many games, but if you get it to work once the look on your opponents face is simply classic.
