Subject: U/G Tradewind Sunder deck Date: Mon, 12 Oct 1998 18:20:45 +0100 From: ShadWar To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Hiya Frank. Just want to tell you the dojo rules, anyway here is my new atempt at a deck for the new type 2 format. Well this is the deck: CREATURES: 4 Birds of Paradise (Mana birds are even stronger with gemstone and undiscovered) 4 Wall of Blossoms (just for being broken :) 3 Spike Weaver (Mr Fog himself, just rocks with dragon blood :)))) 3 Spike Feeder (We just love the peaches. Also works well with dragon blood) 1 Dirtcowl Wurm (Go on then, play those lands.....again... :) 4 Tradewind Riders (Seems like everyone plays with this guy these days, oh well, just another overpriced blocker ;) 2 Fog Bank (These are nice but seem to suck against red, hmm... need to playtest) SPELLS: 3 Sunder (Blue bouncy geddon thingy, and its an instant!!! As if blue needed it...) 2 Propaganda (Look you only have one land, guess who isn't going to attack this turn...) 2 Dragon Blood (Okay so the combo with the spikes is cheesy, but infinite fogs for 4 mana rocks!!) 4 counterspell (Gee, I wonder why I put these in my deck...:) 2 Forbid (Same as above) 2 Lilting Refrain (Testing these instead of mana leak, its always cool to counter when your tapped out.) 1 Stroke of Genius (Hey, braingeyser's back, its always cool to draw cards, and if you have the mana this gives lots of 'em) 2 Scroll Rack (Get the cards you need quickly, without impulse this will have to do...) 2 Survival of the Fittest (Get the tradewind quick, also seems to confuse your oponents as to the nature of the deck, also shuffling is handy with scroll rack) LAND: 8 Island 7 Forest 2 Thran Quarry (This land seems to work well in this deck, still needs playtesting) 2 City of Brass (Ouch land) 2 Reflecting Pool There it is. You can probably imagine how it works, just set up a tradewind lock sunder and watch as your oponnent has 1 land for the rest of the game, throw in a propaganda and he is unable to attack, finish him off as you like using dragon blood to pump up your critters (I personally enjoy killing with a 8/9 Bird of paradise), spikes are in there to help in the early game as the weaver/dragonblood combo is strong against beatdown. No ideas yet about sideboard but as always it just depends on the local metagame. Any ideas, thoughts, criticisms, mail me Carlos "HaveN" Valente Team Trovoada
