Subject: Urza's Saga Bloom [Deck] Date: Thu, 1 Oct 1998 02:59:30 EDT From: JeremyPSH@aol.com To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Planar Filth by Jeremy Loza and Joe Cardoza Hey all you Dojo readers I was going over the Urza's Saga Spoiler today and noticed these two cards: Rain of Filth B Instant Uncommon Each land you control gains "Sacrifice this land: Add B to your mana pool" until end of turn. Planar Birth Sorcery Rare Put all basic lands from all graveyards into play under their owner's control, tapped. I decided to put them together in a combo deck This deck works much like Prosperous Bloom, using Meditate,Intution, as well as the new Urza's card Stroke of Genius to get these two. The point of the deck is to get as much land in play as soon as possible by using cards like Exploration and Harrow. After you get around 5 or 6 and hopefully a Lotus Petal and/or Lotus Blossom in play. Then casting on of the search cards to get the Birth and Rain. Then its simply tap out cast Rain of Filth; sac it all for black use the lotuses for white to cast Planar Birth a few times then cast the drain. Power Sink and Turnabout are there to make the combo go through without being interrupted. Here's the list: 5 Forest 5 Swamp 4 Island 3 Reflecting Pool 3 City of Brass 1 Drain Life 3 Power Sink 3 Stroke of Genius 4 Lotus Blossom 4 Lotus Petal 3 Meditate 3 Intuition 4 Exploration 4 Harrow 3 Turnabout 4 Rain of Filth 4 Planar Birth Any advice would be appreciated.
