Subject: [deck] grasshopping Date: Thu, 17 Sep 1998 16:13:18 -0400 From: seeker To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com [deck][T2] Originally, this deck was designed for Rath Cycle constructed, but since there were extremely few such tournaments in my area, I spruced up the T2 flavor a bit. I call it Grasshopping for two reasons: the game ender is Ephemeron, which looks like a grasshopper dragon, and because the key to the deck is to mess around with bouncing (hippity hop) both my stuff and my opponent's. The basic strategy is this: combine everyoneDraw bundles of cards with Walls, gain chunks of life with Wardens and Wisdoms, and use Equilibrium until mommy hits me with a baseball bat. Geddon when it suits the situation, then keep smacking him with Soul Wardens and the Grasshopper. Grasshopping 4 Wall of Blossoms 3 Tradewind Rider 4 Birds of Paradise 3 Soul Warden 1 Ephemeron 3 Legacy's Allure 2 Wall of Roots 2 Gaea's Blessing 3 Mulch 2 Armageddon 1 Disenchant 2 Equilibrium (Not sure which I like more, Equilibrium or Erratic Portal. Test it.) 1 Uktabi Orangutan 1 Cloudchaser Eagle 4 Mana Leak 1 Wrath of God 1 Gerrard's Wisdom 6 Forest 4 Plains 5 Island 3 Thalakos Lowlands 3 Vec Township Side: 4 Constant Mists (Suicide Black/Hatred/Oath) 3 Disenchant (Mind Over Matter, Survival of the Fittest, anything bad) 2 Uktabi Orangutan (Bridge Crap) 2 Gerrard's Wisdom (Anything Red) 2 Gaea's Blessing (Mill/Grind/Counter) 1 Equilibrium (20+ Creatures) 1 Armageddon (Counter) After first game, beware Phyrexian Furnaces. Don't go hog-wild on the mulch action. Anyway, that's just about it. Comments may be sent to BLH6@geneseo.edu.
