Subject: {DECK} Date: Sat, 27 Jun 1998 22:33:27 -0400 From: Pierre DuPont To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Seismic Vortex! When I got Exodus, a card just jumped out at me: Seismic Assault. The Idea of using a new Land's Edge to pound my opponent was just too good to be true. So I started thinking:How can I possibly get 8000 land in my hand without my opponent doing the same? The answer:Psychic Vortex: Deck: 4 Propaganda 4 Paradigm Shift 4 Psychic Vortex 4 Counterspell 4 Dissipate 1 Capsize 4 Sonic Burst 4 Incinerate 4 Shock 4 Seismic Assault 1 Earthquake 1 Ensnaring Bridge 2 Shattering Pulse Essentially,on a ideal draw, you counter a few things, put out the Assault, and start dropping land on him at the end of turn. Then, you put out the Ensnaring bridge (which isn't key but works great with the vortex) or the Vortex. Once you have the Vortex out, you start burning and dropping land like a madman. Once you have enough stuff in your graveyard, you Paradigm shift and drop land and drop land and burn till you win. I know what you guys are thinking: A)He's nuts! Answer:Of course, that's why they call me Crazy Pierre. But if I ever win ONE game with this deck in a sanctioned, I get 5000 DCI points. B)What the *@#$!!! are those Shattering Pulses for? Answer: Aaah WOTC Playtesting: Let's make an artifact that cost 1 Colorless, and that does two damage if your opponent guesses the right card? Balanced, right? WRONG! Since obviously WOTC DOES NOT PLAYTEST, or they would have noticed that the *$@#!!! Cursed Scroll kills 85% of all creatures and players, you need to get rid of it somehow. The Pulses basically do this, and they're there if you need them again. Enjoy! Pierre DuPont
