Subject: Exodus Deck Date: Sat, 20 Jun 1998 21:47:52 EDT From: AaronClift@aol.com To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Well, since Mr. O'Brian wanted to see a non 5 color Cataclysm deck and since I had this deck idea floating around, I decided to build a deck based around the card. Here goes nothing: "Cataclysmic Beatdown" Creatures (20) 4 Soltari Priest 4 Soul Warden 3 White Knight 3 Warrior en-Kor 2 Soltari Champion 2 Soltari Visionary 2 Soltari Monk Spells (18) 4 Tithe 4 Cataclysm 3 Firestorm 3 Mana Leak 2 Disenchant 2 Firestorm Mana (22) 3 Mox Diamond 4 City of Brass 4 Gemstone Mine 11 Plains Total: 60 cards Sideboard 4 Pyroblast 3 Phyrexian Furnace 3 Light of Day 2 Aura of Silence 3 assorted cards As you can see, I'm still unsure about the sideboard. Obviously, Godzilla decks, control/bounce decks, and fast black decks are all decks to be prepared for. Please e-mail me with suggestions for the sideboard. The main deck is obviously a white weenie deck. Don't play too many weenies at once, however. 2 on the board at a time is usually enough. Also, the deck only needs about 4 mana to survive. Once you have 4 mana on the table, you should stop playing lands. Use the Cataclysms like Armageddons or as a Wrath of God. Tithes help retrive extra land to rebuild and help fuel the Mox Diamonds and Firestorms (by the way, Firestorm is an awesome cards vs. suicide black). Soltari Visionaries help vs. those pesky Propagandas. Soul Wardens are great against bouncy blue as well as suicide black (where those few extra life points really count). Let me know what you think of the deck. I think it performs very well. --Eron the Relentless :) "We're all mad here."
