Subject: GreenDay Deck Date: Tue, 16 Jun 1998 05:28:42 EDT From: NetCaitiff@aol.com To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Hi Frank, Heres a straight green deck I've been working on after Exodus. Since everyone says that Green is the worst color, I've decided to take up the challenge of changing some minds.=) Anyway, here's the decklisting followed by some comments. Land 18 18xForests Creatures 22 4xSpike Feeders 4xSpike Weavers 4xWall o' Roots 4xWall o' Blossoms 4xStampeding Wildebeests 2xWood Elves Artifacts 8 4xCursed Scroll 4xNull Brooch Enchantments 5 4xEladamri's Vineyards 1xMiri's Guile Sorcery 7 4xCreeping Mold 3xGaea's Blessing So far in play testing, this has done quite well. Offensively, it can kill with creatures, scrolls, vineyard burn or decking with blessings. Defensively, the Wildebeests/Spike Weaver is a permanent fog for 5 mana, the Brooch can handle non creatures, and the Molds handle enchantments & artifacts. Some notes about this deck, and why I made some choices. First off is the lack of Wastelands/Quicksands. Two main reasons for this, one, because several spells require GG, and two, its safe vs the many non-basic land killers (mainly Wastland). Second, I'm not using Sex Monkeys mainboard since they could kill my own artifacts, or sit in my hand, which is bad in this deck. They are sideboard material though vs opponets Scrolls/Brooches. Third, while the wood Evlves may seem a bit strange, they can speed up the deck a bit, and with the 'Beests out, thin the deck quite a bit. Anyway, any questions or comments are welcome. Thanks.
