Subject: 1/3 Exodus Sort-of-Reanimator Deck Date: Fri, 12 Jun 1998 11:51:30 +1000 From: Shepherd After seeing the Exodus spoiler, it got me thinking. Lots of discard - in both black (general) and green (creatures - to your benefit). The cards which benefit you for creatures in your graveyard are both black (Revenant) and green (Lhurgoyf). Sounds like a good basis for a deck, huh. Help me with it. Here goes - Sort-of-Reanimator Deck V0.1 Creatures in graveyard = good cards: 3 Lhurgoyf 3 Revenant 3 Haunting Misery 2 Oath of Ghouls Get creatures in the graveyard: 3 Buried Alive 3 Hermit Druid 2 Avenging Druid 3 Mulch 2 Null Brooch 3 Keeper of the Dead 3 Survival of the Fittest 3 Terror 2 Dauthi Jackal 3 Mind Maggots Big creatures need trample: 2 Primal Rage Mana: 8 Swamp 7 Forest 4 Pine Barrens 2 Culling the Weak Cards: 21 Mana 11 Cards with are good for cards in graveyard 27 Cards to get stuff in graveyard 2 Creature enhancers Versions: 15 General Lands 6 5th Edition 6 Weatherlight 7 Tempest 8 Stronghold 19 Exodus Total : 61 Cards Sideboard: 3 Tranquil Domain 3 City of Solitude 3 Dread of Night 3 Bottle Gnomes 3 Drain Life Total: 15 Cards There you go. This could quite likely become Rath Cycle legal with few changes. Basically you discard creatures to Mind Maggots to pump them, Culling the Weak for mana, Survival of the Fittest for a Lhurgoyf or Revenant, etc. and pull out a massive Lhurgoyf and Revenant. Please help me with it. It loses badly to most fast decks, except WW with the Dread of Night in the sideboard. Once you've got out Lhurgoyf or Revenant, it's pretty much game. Thank god Tormod's Crypt isn't Type II legal or most of these decks would be screwed, but any way... Maybe add Living Death, Reanimate or Raise Dead? Donald Shepherd.
