Subject: My new Exodus decks Date: Thu, 11 Jun 1998 09:32:06 -0700 (PDT) From: magic_shaman@geocities.com To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com ---------------------------------------------------- Hello everyone; it's the World's Greatest Magic Player, Matt Brett, here with two spanking new decks based on the awesome new Exodus cards. Feel free comment. "The Amazing Kreskin" deck 4x Mind over Matter ) 4x Winter Orb ) The lock 4x Propaganda ) 4x Howling Mine (need to keep lock going) 4x Feldon's Cane (see above) 4x Counterspell ) 4x Mana Leak ) Protects you until lock comes out 4x Dismiss ) 4x Steel Golem (great blocker; alternate win) 18x Islands 3x Ancient Tomb 3x Quicksand Sideboard: 4x Hydroblast (anti-sligh) 3x Chill (anti-sligh again; hey, it's popular) 2x Pendrell Mists (gets rid of critters) 3x Relearn (pull counters out of graveyard) 3x Mystical Tutor (pull counters out of library) A vision of pure genius, isn't it? Once the MoMa (Mind over Matter) comes out with a Worb, you just keep all them locked by tapping all their lands. The Mines keep cards in your hand to discard while the Canes (totally underated; I don't know why I don't see it more) keeps your cards in your library. Propagandas, Golems, and counters hold off the offense until the lock comes out. Eventually, you either deck your opponent or kill him off with a Golem. "Forbidden Knowledge" 4x Forbid (the deck's namesake) ) the combo 4x Library of Leng _ / 4x Counterspell 4x Mana Leak 4x Dismiss 4x Howling Mine 2x Equilibrium 3x Nevinyrral's Disk 2x Air Elemental 4x Ophidian 4x Man-o'-War 18x Islands 4x Quicksand Sideboard; 4x Hydroblast (anti-sligh) 3x Chill (anti-sligh) 1x Nevinyrral's Disk (extra mass destruction) 4x Impulse (or Portent;should be in main deck somewhere) 3x Steal Enchantment (yes; it's no typo. Good vs. Necro) The decki s based around Forbid (obviously). With a Library of Leng out, you discard to your library when you use Forbid. The Mines and Ophies allow you to draw decently when using Forbid. You counter everything in sight until you pull out a Fatty then pound your opponent away. The Disks help control the board for a while until Mines come out and you can start Forbiding at will. Possibly needs more land. by the World's Greatest Magic Player, Matt Brett P.S: Thanks Dojo
