Subject: hopeful for the decks to beat *decks* Date: Thu, 30 Jul 1998 23:34:55 EDT From: "Dustin Cochran" To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Dear Frank, I usually don't post decks do to the fact I don't like seeing my opponents at tourneys playing the decks I've come up with. Well this is a different occasion, i've had so much success with this deck that I've gotten bored with it and decided to experiment with other decks, so I've decided that I would share the wealth. The deck itself has won 2 smaller tourneys without a loss, I call it EQUIBOUNCE. blue: 3 equilibrium (1/2 of the combo that runs the deck) 3 Tradewind Riders (self explanatory) 4 man-o-war's (supports the combo) 3 shrieking drake (same as man-o-war) green: 3 alurens (2nd half of combo) 2 uktabi orangutan (bye-bye scroll) 2 spike feeders (lotsa life is good) 4 wall of blossoms (card advantage is good) 4 birds of paradise black: 2 Nekrataal (bye-bye tradewind) 1 Vampiric Tutor red: 3 incinerates (BIG burn) 2 firestorms (bye-bye weenies) land: 3 gemstone mines 6 islands 8 forests 1 undiscovered paradise 3 city of brass 2 volrath's stronghold (just in case u hafta recover from a wrath) SB: 3 COP: red (so much better than chill, destroys sligh) 2 elephant grass (suicide what..) 3 gloom (bye-bye shadow) 2 propaganda (see gloom) 3 pyroblasts (bye-bye counterspells) 2 emerald charms (bye-bye bloom and MoMa) the deck is not that hard to play after you get accustomed to it. u get the equilibrium and the aluren out and draw as many cards (wall of blossoms), gain as much life (spike feeder) , or bounce as many creatures as u have the mana to do (man-o-war). the only weaknesses i have witness has been an early geddon or a deck with lots of counters (aka Donais). sometimes you will find yourself siding out the alurens, especially against other weenie decks..or after using the wall of blossoms card drawing engine firestorm all of them away..if sligh is strong in your area THIS is the deck to play because for some reason it destroys sligh, well i guess it destroys red all together, might be the COP's though. I have thought of adding sacred ground to the SB to deal with the geddon problem. if you have any questions or suggestions feel free to email me at: dustin.cochran@axom.com or dpglbc@hotmail.com thanks, Dustin Cochran CSP Strike Team killa bees on a swarm...........the saga continues... ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
