Subject: Defensive White Date: Tue, 28 Jul 1998 02:27:28 EDT From: GokuuKilla@aol.com To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com [DECK] A Type2 white deck, which is somewhat different than the current WW decks, in that this version has more defensive power, and prefers to sit back for a while rather than go all out. Land: 17 Plains 4 Quicksand Creatures: 2 Orim, Samite Healer 3 Warrior En-Kor 2 Paladin En-Vec 3 Staunch Defenders 2 Knight of Dawns 3 Soltari Monks 2 Soltari Visionary 3 Angelic Protectors Spells: 3 Disenchants 3 Orim's Prayers 4 Empyrial Armors 2 Kor Chants 3 Worthy Cause 2 Tithes 2 Gerrads Wisdom Comments: Quicksand - Gives some creature removal, which white has been lacking since StP left. Orim, Samite Healer: Damage prevention, a nice blocker, a nice deal for 1WW. Warrior En-kor: More good defense, esp. with Paladins and Knights of Dawn. Paladin En-Vec: Shrugs off sligh. Laughs at Suicide Black. First strike, 2/2 for 1WW. It's a dessert topping AND a floor wax... Staunch Defenders: Life gain, and a solid beatdown creature. Knight of Dawn: Combos well with the En-kor, and can get through any defense you want him to, provided you have the mana for it. Soltari Monks: Because black shadow sucks. Soltari Visionary: Because enchantments suck. Angelic Protector: Flying, and combos well with Orim and Worthy Cause. Disenchant: You play white, you play main deck Disenchant. I think it's written somewhere in the rule book. Orim's Prayers: Stops weenies in their tracks, kind of like a white Propaganda. Empryial Armor: DuH! Kor Chant: An underused card. Can save one of your creatures and kill one of theirs, for only 2W. Worthy Cause: It's Diamond Valley for 2W each time, and goes well with the protectors. Tithe: More mana, thins out the deck, do you really need an explanation for this? Gerrads Wisdom: DuH! Send any comments to Gokuukilla@aol.com. Chris Hoffman
