Please post this to the current decks. For those reading this be sure and try this deck you'll be suprised. I've beaten (with fair consistency ) the following decks: Oath of the druids Pandenaught Wildebeast recursion decks Some sligh versions (esp after sideboarding) hermit druid/misery WW/armor'd priest (all close matches) Knowing how to play this deck _vs_ each of the above helps, what cards disrupt the flow of the deck and which don't affect it until later is key. It's not an end all be all but it is a nice prison type lock and series of soft locks. Mono U and forbidian decks pose the most problems. Nevys disks are troublesome but the disenchants work nicely if they're gotten. A good modification to this deck is to add Seismic Assault in lieu of the custody's if you don't want to go with the prison/decking route. The Mana Screw 2 Winter Orb 2 Humility 2 Armageddon 2 Hanna's Custody 2 Enlightend tutor 2 Library of Leng 3 Null Brooch 3 Propaganda 2 Ensnaring Bridge 3 Sky Diamond 3 Marble Diamond 3 Mox Diamond 2 Feldon Cane 3 Pendrell Mists 3 Mana Web 3 Mana Breach 3 Disenchant 4 City of Thieves 4 Gemstone Mine 2 Undiscovered Paradise 7 Island 3 Plains SideBoard 2 hanna's custody 2 Armageddon 2 Wrath of God 3 Hydroblast 3 Pyroblast 1 Humility 2 Warmth Notes: The deck might seem pretty slow but in fact with the City of Thieves this deck can get going as fast as turn 1 ! more then once I've done the following: turn 1: me city, mox, mana breach. This is the kick start. This deck consists of several 2 card "soft locks" which the opponet has to deal with then is a hard lock with a third card using any combination of the soft locks. the final lock can consist of, mana web, pendrell mists, propaganda, bridge, worb. The null brooch is mostly to stop non creature threats and to protect the lock. Mana breach and worb slow even the fastest decks down so as not to get overrun. expect to take some damage when playing this deck until the lock solidifies. I typically get down to 8-10 before the lock goes solid. The toughest decks I've played with this are straight blue- the key being play everything and run them out of cards so the lock can go hard. if you get a couple or brooch's down while the person is tapped playing U then the game is most likely yours with the lock. The feldon's cane gets your stuff back as expected. So far mono U is the one toughie I've played. the hanna's custody stops the sex monkeys in their tracks. Humility is for obivious reasons. If you play W or WW the brooch is key to stopping aura's / disenchant along with the hanna's. (a shame to see a wasted disenchant on the custody and not the lock cards.) 8-) mana web/mists is sweet as is mana web/propaganda. I've used the breach to my advantage by saving gemstones and using the City or Thieves and then bouncing and playing a basic land. Armageddon/propa and arma/mists is SWEET. Null brooch's are key to decks using geas to recycle their GY back to their LIB. Keith --- team MaNa ScReW BoYs ----
