I've seen many different Merfolk decks, and I'm surprised to see some of them lack the control factor. While Merfolk is beatdown, it also has the advantage of being blue to pack the necssary control spells. Here' s my list: 4x Lord of Atlantis 4x Manta Riders 4x Tidal Warriors 4x Rootwater Divers 4x Man-o'-War 4x Counterspell 4x Mana Leak 4x Leagacy's Allure 4x Winter Orb 2x Waterspout Dijnn 4x Quicksand 18x Island I'm eithier going to cut 1 Allure or one Winter Orb for another Island, but I'm not sure which. Both of those cards are more than essential, as the fish beatdown will mean nothing if your opponent can get out a sizeable army, or has the mana to Wrathand clear the board. Impulse and/or Portent might make a showing as well, but it's unlikley. Anthony "Whup-Ass" Patronick TEAM Slyvan Tonypatron@aol.com
