It can be really wicked. It also utilizes mass destruction with... Pestilence. That's right, Pestilence. More on that later. Creatures: 4 Black Knights 4 Dauthi Slayers 4 Crypt Rats 2 Mischevious Poltergeist (These guys are amazing) 1 Nekrataal Creature Enchantments: 2 Spinal Grafts (These make Spinning Darknesses easier to cast) 2 Unholy Strengths (First turn Slayer+Strength = Turbo Beatdown) 1 Sadistic Glee (Putting this on a Poltergeist and using Pestilance IS sadistic) Removal: 4 Drain Lifes (Keep up on life) 4 Spinning Darknesses (Ditto) 3 Diabolic Edicts 2 Pestilences 1 Festering Evil Other: 1 Howl From Beyond (Killer) 1 Shattered Crypt (Surprise Card) Mana: 4 Dark Rituals 20 Swamp This deck is FUN. It's awesome in Multiplayer games but is still competative otherwise. Maybe not tournament worthy but it sure is close. Maybe some tweeking and it might be. Now for some explaining. First of all, what's with all the removal? Well, I have this much removal for a few reason. The first reason is that the current scene seems really creature heaving (Except for a few exceptions, obviously). The second reason is that much of the removal actually burn/life-gain. Spinning Darkness and Drain Live is used for life gain, which is important when couples with the Crypt Rats, Pestilence, and Festering Evil. Now, for the Geists. Mischevious Poltergeist is there because it -never seems to die-, especially if you can keep your life total up. Crypt Rats, Pestilence, it's still alive. And it flies! Putting Sadistic Glee on this thing is sick. Sick, sick, sick. The mana sources may seem high, until you see how more mana can be good! (Drain Lifes, Crypt Rats, Shattered Crypt, and the HOWL!) Surprise cards keep your opponent on their toes (Shattered Crypt, Howl, etc.) And this deck isn't all that expensive. The only rare is Festering Evil, and that can be replaced with just about anything. So, in conclusion, this deck is fun, cheap, and has a great shock factor.
