Turbo Xerox was a begining in the excercise for turn advantage. Locally there is one very consistent Time Advantage deck that can handle most decks from the main. Since it is blue and grossly soaked in permission swarm decks could be problematic. I have watched it consistently beat swarm decks, like Sligh, when played by capable hands. I call the deck Stop & Go Turbo. The decks originator is lossed in ambiguity. It appears to be just an evolutionary step from Turbo Xerox. Twisting.. turning.. through the.. never (The 10 Commandments of Stop & Go Turbo) ------------------------------------------------------------ 1) Never play a non-land permanent before turn 6. 2) Never Portent yourself unless your opening hand shows your hosed. 3) Never shuffle your opponent's deck from a Portent unless you just can't deal with it. 4) Never hold Whispers in the early game to wait on buyback. 5) Never counter something you can Memory Lapse then Dismiss next turn. That is a 3 turn advantage. 6) Always play a land every turn. With the card drawing you best find them, there are only 19 in this permission deck (heavy compared to Turbo Xerox's 17). 7) Always make the most out of every card. Don't get bored and Foreshadow just to draw. 8) Always stack the Portented cards to control the next 2-3 turns. Foreshadowing the last card (if it was a good card to dispose of) is key. 9) Always play a Waterspout if you have a Disk and your opponent poses no threat AND you have counters and mana. This is the epitome of control. 10) Always counter a Quirian Ranger after sideboarding Dream Tides. Stop & Go Turbo --------------- 4 x Whispers of the Muse 4 x Impulse 4 x Portent 4 x Foreshadow 4 x Memory Lapse 4 x Counterspell 4 x Dissipate 4 x Dismiss 4 x Waterspout Djinn 1 x Rainbow Efreet 4 Nevinyarral's Disk 4 x Wasteland 15 x Island The sideboard is a matter of taste. Some cards are standard and should be considered fixed constants, others are met with debate. Sideboard: 4 x Hydroblast 4 x Chill 2 x Ertai's Meddling 1 x Mana Leak 2 x Teferi's Realm (see 5CU Donais on the Dojo if you can't figure it out, great idea) 2 x Dream Tides Other notable cards: Despotic Scepter, Disrupt, Propaganda, Restoration. Remember: I didn't design the deck, I just improved it's name (IMO).
