Subject: Mother Earth Date: 15 Apr 1998 05:29:57 GMT From: magicelb@aol.com (MagicELB) Newsgroups: rec.games.trading-cards.magic.strategy ok ok so my 'Tempered Steel" deck was a bust. :) But this deck has been tested extensely on Apprentice and has won 80% on of the time. It usually loses when playing an all green or mostly green deck, cause the vineyards help them to much. To counteract this i've placed Unseen Walkers in me sideboard, 'member them? Without further ado here is: "Mother Earth" LD Spells 4 Winter's Grasp - decent LD spell 4 Fallow Earth - Really nice with Dirtcowls and Ankhs out 4 Creeping Mold - Very versatile 4 Desert Twister - Even more versatile Mana Sources 4 Eladmri's Vineyard - Luv this card and beleive this is the deck for it 4 Wild Growth - Second Turn LD Spell Critters 4 Llanowar Elves - the original 4 Dirtcowl Wurms - need some prereleast ones, call me if you have some Artifacts 4 Ankh of Mishra - Key card in deck 4 Dingus Egg - WTF!? check inquest for card desc :) Land 3 Wasteland - More LD and yes i know it hurts me with eggs out 3 Quicksand - Ditto 15 Forest - Duh Ok this deck came to me in a dream, sorta. I got the idea from reading a post a week or so back with someone asking for deck ideas for Ankhs. After thinking for awhile and also reading someone else's tourney report where he began by saying he was in Dominaria a week before tourney and talked to Eladmri, etc. I thought a Green LD deck would be pretty unexpected and the eggs/ankhs would get put to some use. Yes I know quick decks might hurt first game, before sideboading. My sideboard will prob consist of Iron Stars , maybe Straw Golems , Scrags or Chokes. LMK whatcha think. Praises, sacrificial virgins, cash, mail bombs, threats, and the like are accepted and expected.
