Subject: Re: my take on Five Blessings Date: Tue, 7 Apr 1998 14:46:11 EDT From: ChronoTFan Okay, my turn to hop with a variant. ;) Blessing has been one of my favorite cards for a while, just because the effect is so subtle that it gets overlooked easily. Start Mulching, though, and people tend to get annoyed very quickly... 2 Sylvan Library 4 Gaea's Blessing 4 Mulch 2 Endangered Armodon (Thinking about switching to Maro) 4 Mana Leak 3 Propaganda 4 Impulse 2 Disenchant 2 Pursuit of Knowledge 3 Armageddon 4 Incinerate 1 Derelor 2 Scroll Rack 1 Mountain 3 Forest 6 Island 2 Undiscovered Paradise 2 Reflecting Pool 2 Adarkar Wastes 2 Brushland 4 Skyshroud Forest 2 Gemstone Mine Sideboard: 2 Wall of Tears 2 Disrupting Scepter 1 Disenchant 3 Diabolic Edict 4 Chill 3 Interdict The original version was running WOrbs instead of Geddons, but I didn't like them as much. I just want to blast away everything at once, because I can rebuild faster. Once I've got 3-4 land back on the table, I don't want to be slowed down again. I've found Sylvan to be incredibly key in the deck. It just works so well with everything: PoK, Mulch, Blessing, Impulse, whatever. Haven't had a chance to play it much, but I think the biggest trouble I'm going to have is going to be weenie decks. They just blitz me out before I get a Prop. The Edicts and Walls from the sideboard might help a bit, though. It's pretty neat to see all of this variety come out of a single engine. Just shows the power of what it can do, I guess.
