Subject: Tempest-Stronghold Deck Date: Fri, 13 Mar 1998 19:13:41 -0800 From: "KAO98" To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com This little baby is "The Shit" "The Shit" Land 18 Mountains Creatures 4 Mogg Fanatic 4 Mogg Flunkies 4 Mogg Conscripts 4 Mogg Maniac 4 Jackal Pup 4 Fireslinger Spells 4 Shock 4 Kindle 2 Lightning Blast 4 Mob Justice 2 Goblin Bombardment 2 Mogg Infestation Sideboard 4 Havoc 3 Shadowstorm 4 Shatter 4 Canyon Wildcat It's a combo of my own design: attack with a few creatures, cast Mogg Infestation on yourself doubling the number of your creatures, Mob Justice. Last night in a 6-man chaos game, I picked off everyone in one turn with the combo. After 18 or 19 turns everybody was slowly building up their forces and making secret alliances with one another, I had a Goblin Bombardment, 3 Fireslingers, a Flunkie, and 2 Maniacs in play. I picked off one guy with my Fireslinger, killing him. I then cast Mogg Infestation, My "Partner", Mark was the only one playing blue and had two cards in his hand, he didn't counter it. I then felt it to be safe to cast another one. I now had 24 creatures and the fun was about to begin. I had 2 Mob Justices in my hand, 9 life, and 4 opponents left. David was playing a Pox deck that wasn't really working for him; he had 11 life. Brent was playing a Red/Green Creature deck and miraculously survived the last turn (big Stream Of Life); he had 19 life. Scott was playing his mono-white Angel deck and was winning for most of the game until we ganged up on him and killed off or countered all of his creatures; he was a sitting duck (no cards in hand, tapped out, 1 creature left in his deck, 14 life). Mark was the only one I was worried about, he had two cards in his hand and all of his land untapped. I cast the first Mob Justice, killing David. I cast the other one and killed Scott, Mark tapped two Volcanic Islands and Forked it killing David. Then I had no cards left in my hand and was tapped out. Mark and I were left he said to me "Are you done?" I had a grin on my face as I said "No". I sacked all 24 of my creatures to Goblin Bombardment killing Mark. The funny part is he actually had a Counterspell in his hand. Anyway, build this deck. It's fun...It's "The Shit"! L8R, Gomez Adams ....
