Subject: New Type II Deck (stronghold) Date: Wed, 4 Mar 1998 06:06:29 -0600 (CST) From: Can you hear the shadows dancing? To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Frank: Here is a deck testing the power of green. Yes, green is weak, but hey, i'm a fat lover. Power Stompy ------------ 4 mulch 2 mirri's guile 2 hurricanes 4 wall of blossoms 4 wall of roots 4 stampeding wildabeasts 4 maro 4 llurghoyf 3 spiked soldier 3 tempting licid 2 trumpeting armodon 2 crazed armodon 4 wastelands 4 quicksands 14 forests sideboard: 3 lifeforce 4 uktabi orangutangs 1 tranquil grove 2 tranquil domains 3 natural springs 2 scragnoth The deck works simply enough. You set up early walls. You set up big guys. You do funky things with the wildabeasts, like moving spikes or drawing cards. You force them to not attack. You use the lure licids or trumpeting armadon to force them to either take critical creature losses or massive amounts of unblockable damage. You win. I don't really need to show you how to play this deck. Other than when to play mulch, everything else should be second nature to any dojo reader. To sideboard correctly, you must first realize why each card is in the deck in the first place. That'll come with time. Good luck with it. Sceadeau D'tela
