Subject: New and Wacky Stronghold Decks Date: Wed, 4 Mar 1998 15:15:22 -0500 (EST) From: Arcanos To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com After hanging around the Atlanta crowd (Schnieder, Wolf, Leader,etc.) for as long as i have, some, i got some nifty deck ideas for the post stronghold t2. with out further ado... (oh most of these are in the really good fun deck stage, so with a little tweaking, they can be tourney viable) Shapeshifter's Blues 4 Volrath's Shapeshifter 4 Tortured Existance 4 Dauthi Horror 3 Air Elemental 3 Nekrataal 4 man-o-war 2 Disk 1 Leviathan 1 Sea Monster 2 Mana Leak 4 Impulse 4 Cursed Scrolls 1 Intuition 23 land (u can figure it out) This deck may seem unweieldy, but in truth, it wins about half of it's games without the shapeshifter. Tortured existance is a really useful enchantment, multiple uses of nekrataal's nad man-o-wars, tend to help. and the nasty shapeshifter trick (attack with the shapeshifter with horror on top of graveyard, after blockers, switch the horror with leviathan or sea monster! fun for all!) the shapeshifter also works well with scrolls, BTW. ---------- Black Death 3 Grave Pacts 4 Blood Pets 4 Mogg Fanatic 4 Booty Gnomes 2 Stronghold Assassin 2 Abyssal Gatekeeper 4 Kindles 2 Phyerxian Hulk (or other Fatties) 3 Goblin Bombardment 3 Corpse Dance 2 Phyerxian Portal 4 Dauthi Horror 23 Land (you know the drill) This is in the experimental stage, and have yet to test it, tho it look like it is going to be the band of anything creature based. with a pact out, sac a fanatic and deal a point and make the opponent sac a creature. Almost fun for multiplayer play! That's all i have for now. The other decks i am working on are a Mogg Justice Deck and a Awakening deck, not to mention the Sliver deck i posted on DojoChat, which still gets looks and 'oh my god, you got beat by a sliver deck!' comments.
