Been looking at the new ST decks.They look powerful..they look mean..a few look downright broken.The infinate combos are interesting..I have thrown together something a little different..a little...Grimm.. This is a creature deck.No wild combos..just some old fashion beatdown with a few new swell cards from ST.The New(maybe improved?)Brothers Very Grimm 2 Revenant (woo hoo!The New Brother) 1 necrosavant 1 Brother Very Grimm(gallowbraid) 2 carrionttes 4 black knight 3 bottle gnomes 4 nekrataal 3 bonedancers 2 wall of souls 4 drain life 4 dark ritual 4 diabolic edict 3 nevvie disk 18 swamps 4 quicksands 2 wasteland This is has a heavier creature base than earlier versions.We want plenty of critters in the grave for Revenant dont we?I considered Abyssal Spectors as they as they are a must kill.I suppose they could go in as bait..And to feed Rev.The Wall of Souls is a nice way to hold of early weenies.True there aernt many ST cards in here..but I just couldnt wait and had to get the Rev in there somehow! For a sideboard I would put a bunch of hand destruction vs blue,Gloom,spinning darkness for sligh and some touchstones for orb decks. So..if opp kills say,,6 of your critters...you got yourself a 6/6 flyer for 5 mana..not too bad. Now just for fun..RevenantGeddon: 4 bop 4 granger guildmage 4 centaurs 4 wall of roots 4 mana leak 3 revenant 2 maro 4 river boa 3 geddon 4 incinerate 2 disenchant 2 sex monkey 10 forest 4 undiscovered 3 genstones 1 pool 1 city of brass 1 Volraths Stronghold(maybe grab Rev back) I think Rev may be superior to a Luggie or a Maro.As good as these fatties are..they both have the drawback of being easily blocked by nearly anything.A regenerater can hold them off,etc.Revvie boy flies..which is a lotta laughs.Yeah,i know he has drawbacks like Light of Day..but he can survive a perish,cant be taaled or terrored..or spinning darknessed if hes a little on the small side.Plus with all the critters in here he could be pretty FAT pretty fast!Otherwise it just plays like a Maro/weenie geddon deck. There you go..not as exciting maybe as the infinate mana/burn combos(which I think are cool BTW)But FAT critters is what I like...=) gollum Looking forward to Black Summer 98
