From: csivils@blkbox.com (Craig Sivils) Subject: WL Impact on white Date: Mon, 28 Jul 1997 16:53:34 GMT For a "over-rated" set, the WL white just keeps coming. People have already talked about: Abeyance, Empyrical Armor and Tarrif. White also got at least one other killer card and an additional solid card: Aura of Silence and argverian find ( I don't see any reason to play with 4 disenchants main deck with aura of silence in the t2 mix. It can be cast pre-emptively with a gloom type effect on your opponent. It can take out a forsaken wastes without loss of life. But perhaps the most important detail is that it's an enchantment. Enlightened tutor can now get creature removal (enchantments, more neutralization but it can work), creatures (artifact creatures) and now it can get enchantment/artifact removal as well. Considering that some of the newest "white" friendly creatures are artifacts (And also in WL), Enlightened tutor is getting more powerful imo. Along the same line of logic, the find is like a mini-recall since white now has so many good artifacts/enchantments to choose from. When the black options deck with vampiric tutor was popular, a distant minority used to ask where was the white option deck? I think white option is getting more and more attractive. Craig
