Subject: [MISC] Stolen Cards-Please Watch For These! Date: Mon, 7 Dec 1998 11:15:33 -0700 From: "Goodfriend, Bob" To: "'fkusumot@ix.netcom.com'" Greetings All, This weekend at the Des Moines PTQ (Dec 5), someone stole my binder of rares. I've only bee back in Magic for 6 months after a total sellout, so this was my entire collection, at about $500. My keys to drive me the 700 miles home, and my keys for work were also in the stolen box (...you thieving bastard). I'm hoping that there's someone out there with a guilty conscience whose friend took my stuff, or a store owner who will recognize my stuff when it comes across his counter. Mostly it was Type II stuff, but there were a few unusual things that might be tipoffs (the non-collection stuff listed would be the most obvious, but you're least likely to see it if you're not a friend of the guy, of course). Non-collection stuff: - A keychain, with a whistle and an ISU Alumni bob on it. - A Survival/Recur/Whale deck, sleeved, with a number of proxies. - A really bad Sligh deck, with a number of proxies. Collection stuff: - 21 multilands, all revised. 2 of each type, plus 1 tundra. Mostly pretty worn. - 4 Diamonds, 3 Scroll Racks. - 4 Sphere of Resistance. - There were a few foreign (eastern) cards I picked up at Austin Grand Prix...I can't remember most of these, but there was a foreign Static Orb in there, and a foreign Lobotomy. - Ok, this is a big tip-off, because it's probalby the only one in the world: There were 4 signed tempest power sinks, and one of these was a FOREIGN, SIGNED TEMPEST POWER SINK. If you see this guy, stab him, steal his pants, , re-steal my collection and call me at (719) 567-0912 or (719) 265-5776, or email me at bobg@shadowglen.ml.org or GoodfriB@jntf.osd.mil. MASSIVE REWARD, of course. -James R. "Bob" Goodfriend
