Subject: Deck names (issue)

I am writing this in response to the posts I have seen on the US decks and
Strategy. It involves the names people attach to their decks. Initially
everyone was attaching a name to the Academy Aecks ranging from the first
post which called it "New Bloom" to others which call it "New Zvi".
Although Frank eventually changed most of these decks to a  more uniform
"The Academy". It begs the question, has naming decks fallen to the Dojo
syndrome? Everyone was so ready to build the next "Zvi" that they decided
not to build the first "Academy" deck. It should be noted that that an
"Academy" deck could not even fall in to the category of "Zvi" decks
because a "Zvi" deck was an infinite engine which ran off dream halls and
Gaea's blessing. Academy is neither infinite nor does it contain the
requisite dream halls therefore it could not be the next "Zvi". Academy
could be the next Bloom as it works off a similar concept of cards
drawing turned into mana and then more card drawing. However, they require
entirely different card combinations and Academy contains no Blooms and
Bloom contains no Academies. So I ask that when people create decks
especially now with US giving rise to new decks, don't build the next
"Zvi" deck. With no offense to it's creator, it was a fad deck that never
really won a major tournament nor proved it self viable in the tournament
environment. Academy though is the deck to be ready for in the new T2
environment. Don't let the Dojo effect your decks name when you submit it,
so unless your deck is running infinitely off of dream halls it is not
Zvi.
