Subject: Issue : NO INTERRUPTS!?! Date: Tue, 17 Nov 1998 11:31:51 -0500 (EST) From: Wee Keat Ng To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Recently as I was reading the articles on The Dojo I came across an article "How 6th ed will kill MTG". I was rather amused and proceed to read it. What I encountered really pisses me off. If what the article says is true, ie 1)no interrupts 2)no damage prevention phase 3)no mana pool 4)tapped artifacts will function normally then what I think the people at WOTC is trying to do is to simplify the game. But what they don't see is that by simplifying the game they are actually killing the game. By cuttng off people from doing what they can do they cut off the windows of opportunities for little tricks up your sleeves that you can pull off and win a game. Its like playing a slightly more complicated C23 if u have tried it. The other problem is that simplyfying the game in such a huge way would probably introduce other unpredictable situatiuons that would once again involve rewriting the whole errata list and we have to look through them . If agree to what I said I hope we as a collective community can band together and stop this nonsense. They have no idea what magic means to us. We are the grassroot members of this community and know this game better than anyone else. They shouldn't bring such a big change without consulting our opinions, we have a right.
