Subject: Who owns who? Date: Wed, 2 Sep 1998 03:12:48 EDT From: Majesk@aol.com To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com With a nod to Paluka and Rubin, here comes the premier tournament match history of Tie Dyed, Teva-d, and Corduroy-d one... DEADGUY 2-0 vs Matt Place 1-0 vs Worth Wollport 0-1 vs Tony Tsai In my ownership of GP Toronto, I managed to give some beatings to the members of team deadguy (then and now), and i haven't seen em since! Tony Tsai handed me my loss of the tournament with Winding Canyons, because a Instataal can wreck a InstaSpout. :( It was all smiles for me when Worth said 'take one', though! vs NJ 0-1 vs David Bachmann 2-0 vs Jon Finkel 1-0 vs HappyJohn The Fink just can't win against me in big tournaments. :) From turn 3 rathi in LA to dropping the Armageddon bomb from Burned Alive in 97 nationals, I own the current player of the year in premier tournament play. Of course, when the Fink and I teamed up in Chicago and played Prison, Bachmann went and drew his entire sideboard against me in game 3, and I found myself Buried Alive in that one. :( I just out-curved HJ in 97 Nats draft, with way too many flankers for my own good... vs New England 0-1 vs Darwin Kastle 0-1 vs Pete Guevin While I had a crazy winning streak around here last summer, taking home the cash in 4 of 5 1000$ tournaments in Boston, I just can't seem to beat my fellow New Englanders on the tour. Pete ended my dreams in chicago while Darwin crushed my LA prayers (twice, actually - he handed his deck to Adam Katz the night before, who handed me my second loss of the tournament that condemned me to the fate of Austin Vaughn, of Verdant Jank) vs NY 1-0 vs SteveOMS 1-0 vs Alex Schvartzman 1-0 vs Jamie Parke (SPED!) 0-1 vs Dennis Bentley (!!!) Steve and Alex tried to stop the rampage in canada - twas not to be, which Jamie was my final step to nationals in the open last year. Gump gave me beatings with double river boa in the draft the next day. :( vs CMU 1-0 vs Mike Turian 0-0-1 vs Dan Silberman 1-0-1 vs Erik Lauer All from Toronto, i played both mike and erik in the top 8 (quarters and finals, respectively), and drew with dan and erik in the final rounds of swiss. Monoblue just didn't lose. :) vs everyone else i haven't mentioned who i can think of... 1-0 Alan Comer 1-0 Terry Borer 1-0 Olle Rade 0-1 Svend Sparre Geertson 0-1 Adam Katz 0-1 Chris Bishop 0-1 Andrew Nishioka All in all, a fairly decent record? 14-9-2 in matches i can identify my opponent readily on the pro tour/grand prix/nationals circuit....not too stellar, which could explain the fact that i'm not qualified right now, but not shabby...in any case, i hope to see you all on my home turf at Grand Prix Andover - I go to school right down the road, and i've lost maybe one sanctioned constructed match in the town in my life. Not to mention the fact that i've won every grand prix i've played in....block constructed formats in particular! Brian Kibler
