Subject: Fireblast Date: Wed, 29 Jul 1998 00:53:09 EDT From: MagikGuy88@aol.com To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com (HUMOR, I guess) I would like to point something out to all of you blue mages. After reading "Casey at the Table," I would like to say that red has a huge advantage over blue: Fireblast. It is basically a pitch spell, but it's Type 2 legal. Sure, blue can counter several rounds of burn, but as soon as they tap out, it's fireblast time. That's why I would like to suggest my new fireblasts: Creatureblast 4GG Instant U may sac 2 forests instead of paying the ridiculous cost in this card. Put a 3/3 meanie token into play. Treat this token as a green creature. If opponent incinerates this creature and gains huge card advantage over you, you may beat them with a tire iron. (Hell, green sucks anyway, why not make it suck more?) Healblast 4WW Instant U may sac 2 plains instead of paying the ridiculously high cost on this card. Gain 4 life. (Sure, mangara's blessing only costs 2W and gives u 5 life, plus it has the little discard text... but who cares? The Mirage block's leaving anyway) Counterblast 4UU Instant U may sac 2 islands instead of paying the ridiculously high cost on this card. Counter target spell. (It's a crappy force of will! or better, depending on how u look at it) Discardoblast 4BB Instant U may sac 2 swamps instead of paying the ridiculously high cost on this card. Target opponent chooses and discards 3 cards. (Probably extremely broken, but u don't get any card advantage) And finally... Jester's Blast 6 U may sac 2 lands instead of paying the 6 mana that u should pay. Sac Jester's blast: Cap your opponent. If u don't know what that means, go play go fish. But we can't forget... Stalking Blast Land 6: Stalking blast becomes a 3/3 creature permanently. U may sac 2 lands instead of paying 6. (Hell, I don't know...) I hope u post this, frank, so the world can know about the broken blast. -Bryan paris, or MagikGuy88- Also check out my page at http://members.aol.com/magikguy88/mainpage.html
