Hi, Jeffrey Smith here.. I've worked closely with both Wizard's Playground and
Bronze Tablet, the major stores in Vegas and I thought I'd let you know why
there is no PT or PTQ Vegas.

Originally in Vegas there was one super store Outer Limits,and the owners
there reminded me of used car salesman. We (Bronze and Wizards) tried to get
the rights to hold the PT from WOTC but Outer Limits had the rights to it.
About a year and a half ago Outer Limits closed shop..around last March (97)
there was a PTQ set for Vegas. It was the most disorganized thing because the
people still in charge, were nowhere to be found..the outcome was that anyone
calling to see about where the tourney was to be held was ringing a dead phone
number..noone, not even the other stores in town, WOTC, or the DCI knew where
it was to be held.

To cut a long weekend short, the DCI and WOTC screwed Vegas. We haven't even
seen a pre-release since then..Wizard's Playground, Bronze Tablet, and Asgaard
Games have all been petitioning and pleading WOTC for at least a pre-release
and been shunned. Finally we got some good news..Urza's Sage pre-release will
actually be held..maybe soon we'll actually get some PTQ and PT's playing..

And that's why there is never mention of a Pro Tour Vegas Baby!..
