Subject: Exodus' Broken Card Date: Sun, 07 Jun 1998 10:10:02 PDT From: "Matthew Williams" To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Greetings All, For the last year or so Wizards of the Coast has been releasing cards that are, by most players opinions, verging on broken. That is because these cards when combined with one or more pre-existing cards form infinate loops of damage, life gaining, card drawing, etc. 'Dream Halls' is an example of this (though this card is not as abusive as others) as well as 'Goblin Bombardment' which lead to the fruity pebbles deck dominating extended for a while. Exodus apparantly was not left out when Power cards were being issued. R3 Pandimonium Whenever a creature comes into play (trigered effect), that creatures controller may choose to have that creature deal damage equal to it's power to target creature or player. Pretty good, huh? Well you could play it with ball lightning (yeah thats just what sligh needs) or you could look toward more broken aspects of this card. 1 Phyrexian Dreadnaut (sp) blah blah blah scrubby card. 12/12 Comes into play, does 12 damage, dies. Hummmm. This may be over powered. Any ways heres a Deck that I thought up coming home from the prerelease in Knoxville (Which was horridly ran by the way but thats another post). It is a lot like the bushwhacked deck of Jay sneider fame. BushWhack Tek. 3 alluren 3 pandomonium 3 man-o-war 4 intuition (the best card blue has had since impulse) 3 birds of paradise 4 llanowar sentinals (with alluren out this translates into 8 points of damage PHAT) 3 Uktabi Oragutans 3 viashino sandstalkers 1 onslaught (with the man-o-war you can tap all of his creatures then your sand stalkers can go through un heeded. This may be taken out of the deck after some more play testing) 3 reclaim (a instant speed regrowth huh? seems to fit in here rather well) 3 Phyrexian Dreadnaught (sp) (works well with or with out the alluren and with a reclaim in your hand....) 3 spike feeders 3 living death 4 cities of brass 4 gemstone mines 3 undiscovered paradise 2 reflecting pools 3 forrests 3 mountains Any comments are welcome as well as criticism, or flames, or money, gifts, small gems, monkeys, tightly packed explosive devises, etc. Matt Williams A.K.A. The Doc "No you dont understand I dont want to trade my Lunch Money Cards they come in a set...." Me at the Exodus Pre-Release Between rounds. PS John Matson (the guy who did tradewind rider) IS THE SHIT!!! He spent 12 hours signing cards prints and play mats and ALWAYS had a smile and a nice word to say no matter how often you brought him 12 more tradewinds to sign!!! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
