Subject: RE: Stop printing decklists? Date: Tue, 30 Jun 1998 11:42:39 -0700 From: Rich Engler To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Just my 2 cents on the subject, which (I hope) won't turn into a rehash of the "Dojo Effect". If anything, instead of eliminating decklistings, I would like to see more information included in the header for various decks. Some of them have titles that are fairly self explanantory, but some require a great deal of imagination when attempting to link title to functiion. (I am guilty of this as well, so no one take offense, please). My reasoning is simple. I like to look at the Dojo decks because they are so chock full of ideas. Many of the ideas suck, or are unfeasible, or not intended for tournament play. However, they are new and original ideas, and that is wonderful. Some just need a little work. Hell, even if they appear unfeasible...there may be something there. However....If I am wandering about, looking to see if anyone has thought of a good way to use the Whiptongue Frog in a control deck, I don't want to have to read 50 Whiptongue Frog Beatdown decks first. So. Maybe a one word description in the header? Something like: U/G/b Bayou Barbeque (aggressive) where the word in parens would describe the deckbuilder's intended style of play for the deck in question. (aggro), (mid), (control) ? Just a suggestion. What do the rest of you think? Not trying to cramp anyone's style, but trying to make the ever more popular Dojo a bit more organized... Claude
