In fact, the printing of deck ideas isn't the greatest thing in the world either, but I can almost live with that. I had generally had no problem with sites printing decklists, and have even done so on my site in the past, but I feel things have gotten out of control. Let's take a little flashback.... I'm sitting at home trying to make any revisions on my deck that I can think of for the Junior Super Series Qualifier the weekend. Suddenly, the phone rings. My conformation retreat was moved from this weekend to that one on account of snow. I am angered, but my spirits are not totally crushed because there is the second qualifier about a month away. Also, my friends will still be going so I can find out what the deck to beat will be. My friends go to teh tournament and come back to tell me about it. They were all in the 16-18 catagory where the competition was more fierce. My brother had come in third and told me that the winning deck was almost identical to mine (My own creation I might add. The Buried Alive/Living Death deck). I also learn that in the 15 and under category, the one I will be participating in, the decks were all horrible. The two best decks were a 5CG deck copied out of InQuest and a counter/burn deck with only 4 counterspells and 6 burn cards. I was told I was definately going to win the next qualifier and was guarenteed a seat in the second day. Shortly after this tournament, however, the dojo posted the deck list for red sleigh, though I was completely unaware. My deck, which had only a moderate amount of fast creatures, remained unchanged for the tournament because I did not know the phenomanon that would be red sleigh. The day of the tournament came around. My first match was easily one because I managed to pull of the first turn darl ritual/buried alive and the thrid turn dark ritual/living death twice in a row giving me a spirit of the night and dual shivans. The next round, however, I did not fair so well. I played red sleigh, and was destroyed. The same happened in the next two matches. Of the 25 decks their, 22 were sleigh. The other two were my deck, 5CG, and the deck I played first round. I was even told in the third round by my opponent, "I built this deck last night when I finally decided I was going to come here. I don't know how well it works, but the dojo said it is pretty good." It is because of victims like me that I feel you should stop printing entire deck lists on your page. Give everyone a chance. Thanks to you anyone who spends $80 to make a deck with 4 cursed scrolls, 4 scalding tongs, and some small red creatures can win a tournament.
