I've been visiting Dojo for sometime and have never been inspired to post a message until now. I just don't understand the problem. So what if someone wants to play with a Dojo deck? More power to 'em. Yes, they lose the "thrill" of creating their own killer deck. But they now have a chance to compete. However, IMHO they've only given themselves a chance to be competitive and learn the game. Because anyone reaching the final rounds should have researched the Dojo (and other sources), play tested against that very deck, learned the weaknesses and how to beat it. Period! If you don't, then stop whining. I use the Dojo primarily as research. I like to see what's out there and what I'm up against. I've only played in a couple constructed tournies. The first was before I found the Dojo and I got creamed. The second was after when I went four rounds undefeated only to find out I registered my deck wrong and got disqualified. (My bad, too much of a hurry when I arrived late.) Did I play with a "Dojo deck?" No. In fact, I won my third round against a Counter-Efreet deck because my opponent wasn't sure what "key cards" to counter and I felt like I knew every card in his deck. I had the advantage because of the Dojo. Period. Without the Dojo, "winning" players will not be the most "creative" players. Are you actually crazy enough to believe that? Without ANY of the research tools like the Dojo, the only real players will be those that literally devote their lives to tournies and play on teams. The winners will still be copying decks and deck ideas; and still winning by knowing what's out there and metagaming. Keep the deck lists coming.
