A few days ago I was looking for something new to play around with and of course looked around the dojo for some new ideas. I settled on a hermit druid deck, copied it card for card, and went on to play test to get a feel for how the deck should be played. I threw it all together and went over to play my friend. He was playing 5c-aggro sliver. He was layed out 2 muscles and a wing in the first 3 turns, beating me down pretty hard. But fourth turn I go off with haunting misery, do the hermit move to move everything to my graveyard, and proceed to remove all 14 creatures from my deck... The dojo is a tool, nothing more. If you use it like a scrub like I did above, it will do no good. Sure you can take a dojo deck you've never played and win a tourney, just like you can slap together a rouge deck and win a tourney. Looking at a deck like secret force, a complete decklist doesnt really make a world of difference. Wakefield has shown 4 or 5 different decklists for the deck which are all easy to come up with just knowing the engine. I welcome decklists in a post, in fact I dislike posts without a decklist. There is more to deckbuilding than just a decks engine. For those of us who are better deck tuner's than deck builders, we need to see things like a decks land ratio so that we can tune it to take it to the next level. In serious tournament play, the dojo raises the skill level of all those involved. It is only in the backwater tournies that "dojotech" will win you a tuorney by iutself. So please, continue with the decklists. raver efreet insert sig.txt here
