I'm actually going to try and respond to this, because it's one of the things me and a lot of the magic community where I live have discussed, Decks copying. First off I'd like to point out to everyone who's saying publishing the decks gives the scrubs a chance at tournaments. I've never heard more whining about a game since "the computer cheats." Of course the scrubs don't have a chance, why should they, no one said life is fair and most of the fun comes from overcoming the challenge of beating someone else with something you made with your own ideas. Most of the game doesn't come from actually playing a deck, I think at least half if not more comes from the actually deck construction. If you can not construct a decent deck, why should you compete in the pro tour? Should the pro tour not just be the best deck players, but also the best deck constructers? I don't think I'm wrong in thinking that to be a professional you should be best at anything and you should be able to do it all around. Look at any professional sport for instance. I come from a small town, about 10,000 people here. I'm a college student here, where most of the "good" magic players were originally older. A lot of the younger players started off with their 100 plus card decks that could never be any good, but that was what they had. I've personally seen most of them grow not just as players, but as deck constructers. They've learned not by copying decks, but by watching the older players play and learning from their ideas what type of ideas work and what type of ideas don't work. My point is that they learned not because they copied our decks, but they learned as Mr. Anders suggested through the concepts. They also have more fun this way, it does feel good to pull a deck out that someone hasn't seen before and beat the snot out of them with it, expecially when they're playing a "dojo deck" I might add. Well I've never been to a pro tour tournament, but I've been around playing magic for a long time now, probably longer than a lot of people, and I've only met one person with a lower dci number and I truly believe that the game comes from deckbuilding.
