Hey this is an arguement disagreeing with Dorain Anders post "Stop the
decklists".
Now i use Apprentice for Win95 as my primary playtesting tool. It allows me
to test the top decks, many of which were posted on the dojo by someone who
thought it would be cool to share ideas, and experiences around the world.
Now posting decklists has definetly created a world-wide xerox effect, but
it has also generated an immense playtesting ground online. I live in San
Diego, and in my area there is no good place to play Magic. Occasionally
you find a place that is having some local sanctioned tourney but no one
hangs out there, its  just the tournament spot. So how does a competitive
player playtest then? Most of my friends dont have the time or money to
seriously get the cards and build nice tourney decks. So i playtest online.
This allows me to have an almost infinite playtesting area and creates
plenty of shared information between players. I talk to my opponents, i
give and recieve tips on decks. sometimes even trade them. then change the
deck for current meta in my area. so the Dojo has made all this possible
and i consider it one of the best websites i know of. I think it is a great
idea and gives player who dont have local opportunities, to playtest and
build tournament competitive decks. So in my opinion it would be in the
best intrest of those people who need the dojo and online playtesting to
allow decklists to be posted. thats my two cents.
