 You are all COMPLETELY missing the point of what Rules are for.

 It is COMPLETELY irrelevant if Mike put the card there on purpose,
 it fell out of his deck by accident, or if it was there from a
 previous player.

 IT WAS THERE.

 I will now make an assumption : the card was there by accident.
 Therefore, according to the rules, he should have been disqualified.
 YES.
 By accident = Disqualification.
 Of course, the same holds true if it was on purpose. It doesn't matter.

 THAT is what this moronic discussion is about.

 Seque to real life for a moment.

 You are driving in a car and have a lot on your mind.  You blow through a
 stop sign you don't even see at all.  A cop pulls you over and gives you
 a ticket.  The SAME TICKET you would have gotten if you had blown the sign
 on purpose.  Intent is IRRELEVANT.  The LAW is ABSOLUTE.

 Get a clue, people.  Pass the clue on to the DCI.  Tournement Magic is a
Joke.
